Don't you just love making new friends? It's been such a struggle at this time in my life to make new lady friends! Mid-twenties is such a fun age. You're (likely) out of college, maybe working, maybe married, maybe with kids. But it feels like a transition period and sometimes it's hard to find people who fall into the same category as you!
That's one reason social media has been so fun for me. I've met some really awesome ladies who want the same thing or something similar for their lives.
